Test steps, description, and other data in the QAlity test Test issue type (Test case) are always shown in the newest version.
However, when you execute a test case (Ad ad hoc or from in the test cycle), the version for this test execution is “frozen“. This means that even if you execute a test case with 10 steps and then add another 10 steps then your execution will still show only 10 steps. To add new steps to the test case, they will not be displayed in this particular execution. If you wish to use the newest version of the test case you need to execute this test case again.
In case you used If you executed a test case in a test cycle you need to either clone the cycle (in which case you can repeat everythingwhich will create a new, clean cycle, with no executions) or delete the execution that you of the edited and want the newest versiontest case and execute it again.
