In [Manage templates] view click [Edit] next to the selected template, that you want to alter. Edition of templates includes such actions as changing the name of the template, changing existing items and adding new ones, reorganizing items as well as removing a single item or deleting entire template. To apply introduced modification click [Save] button. Click [Cancel] button to abort the edition of template.

On the ‘manage templates’ page, you can make changes to the existing templates such as adding new items, editing the templates’ names and items, and more.

Use the search bar to find the templates you want to edit. When you’re finished with editing, click the blue Save button.
Bear in mind that the changes made on the ‘Manage templates’ page will not affect the templates that have already been added to Jira issues. They will be applied next time when a new template is added to an issue.
