Data storage and security

QAlity - Test Management for Jira and QAlity Plus - Test Management for Jira apps does not store the user and Jira-specific data, so for example your Jira issues do not leave your Jira instance. However our app stores other data like test steps or test cycles.

Cloud

Residency

We store our configuration data in the USA on an Amazon RDS, region us-east. Data can be accessed only by a limited number of SolDevelo employees.

Data

  • Technical information required for the marketplace and licensing to work correctly like instance id.

  • Test cases - allows you to easily collect and create steps (data, attachments, etc) that should be followed by the tester. They are represented by the Jira issue. Test steps content(except attachments) are stored in our database it also includes previous versions of these steps. Other issue values like assignee or description do not leave your instance.

  • Test cycles - allows you to easily group test cases, assign them to testers, and preview current status. They are entirely stored in our database.

  • Test execution - allow you to execute previously created test cases. Statuses and comments are stored in our database while the linked bugs on your instance.

  • Reports - allows you to preview larger data in an easier and more readable format. They are generated the moment you open the page combining the data mentioned above.

  • Settings - allows you to set which project will have QAlity enabled. They are stored as Jira app property.

Security

We use Amazon Web Services for our cloud infrastructure - a leading cloud computing provider. This helps us guarantee high availability, and scalability, and also automates our backup policy.

We participate in the Cloud Fortified and Bug Bounty programs which means that our security meets high standards and our apps are subject to regular penetration testing by independent security researchers.

Data removal

If you decide to resign from QAlity, you can inquiry for complete data removal from our servers. To do so, please contact us through our Service Desk portal here. We will confirm that you are permitted to decide of data removal for your organisation and process your request.

Server

We do not store any information from the server. When you install the app all the information and configurations stay within your server.
