Importing test executions in JUnit XML format via the UI interface into QAlity PLUS Advanced Edition

Importing test executions in JUnit XML format via the UI interface into QAlity PLUS Advanced Edition

A shortened quick guide, ‘How to import results?’ is also available on the right side of the import screen.

Please note that the following guide applies ONLY to the Advanced Edition of the QAlity Plus app.

QAlity Plus Advanced Edition offers an option within its user interface called ‘Import results of the automated tests executions’ that allows performing a test execution import in the JUnit XML format outside the API.

Test executions can be added from the XML files by following these steps:

  1. In the Jira instance, go to Apps QAlity Plus and select Import test executions on the sidebar;

  2. Select the XML file in JUnit format from your device by clicking on Browse files;

  3. Proceed with import by clicking on Select file and continue;

  4. Before the import begins, two additional options will become available:

    1. Create test cases – When this option is enabled, test cases will be created for all imported test executions that don’t have a matching case:

      Please note that a significant number of test cases may be created based on your test executions. By disabling this option, any execution that does not match any existing test cases will cause the entire import process to be stopped.

    2. Create test cycle – By enabling this option, all imported test executions will be combined into one test cycle (an existing or a brand new one)

  5. Clicking on Import automated test results starts the test case execution import procedure.

  6. After a successful import, options to open the test execution report, visit the test case repository, and import additional XML files will be available.

If any issues occur during the import process, the summary will present an error message describing its possible cause.
