Worklogs - Time Tracking and Reports are available for all hosting options - Jira Cloud, Jira Server, and Jira Data Center. The feature set and the user interface on all of those options are the same, which means that you can freely migrate to another hosting without any loss of features or the need to onboard users with the app again.
Worklogs - Time Tracking and Reports use the Jira time tracking capabilities. This means that all the time that you log through our app or that you see in generated reports is kept directly in the Jira issues. When you migrate your issues from one hosting to another, their respective worklogs information will be moved too. There are no additional steps that you need to take. After migrating your Jira issues the Worklogs - Time Tracking and Reports will display time reports just as on your previous hosting.
Configuration and permissions
App configuration and permissions are not automatically migrated and you are expected to re-create them on the new hosting. The process won’t take longer than 5 minutes.
On your new hosting, please go to App management and find Worklogs - Time Tracking and Reports settings. Visit the
and set up the same values as on your previous hosting. Please note that you need Jira Administrator permissions to change those settings.
