Application access rules are an Atlassian feature that allows you to restrict and control access to specific user-generated content for applications. Adding an application access rule can affect applications that have previously used data in a specific space. Blocking a specific project for Team Planner may result in incomplete data deleted by our application

In response to this, we inform the user whenever Team Planner learns that any data for plans is blocked or restricted by the organization.

If you want to view all the necessary data for your Plan, you should contact the Jira administrator and ask to unlock the requested projects for the Team Planner application. You can read specific instructions on how to set up your App Access Rules in Atlassian documentation here.

In the Team Planner interface, you can check for information about the risk of incomplete data in several places:

Your currently saved plans

  1. On “Team Planner Dashboard”, all saved plans that contain data from a blocked project will have the label “Blocked” next to it.

  1. A pop-up info flag informing you that our app can’t access data from a blocked project.

  1. A blue flag with information that data may be incomplete. It can be dismissed but will appear whenever you load a plan with blocked content.

When creating a new plan in the application:

  1. Whenever you want to create a new plan on and select a project or a saved filter from the selector on “Creat new” plan modal screen, all projects blocked by the administrator will be marked and you will see a "blocked" label next to them. You will see blocked results at the end of the selection list.

  1. When you want to add an issue to the plan directly from the particular day cell an inline message at the end of “Issue” drop-down list will appear informing that results of your search may be incomplete.

  1. If you want to change the setting of “Filter issue” panel, you will see all blocked projects labeled at the end of the “Issue type” drop-down list and the inline message will be displayed when you hover over it

  1. On the “Filter isues” panel when ‘All projects’ is selected and among them is blocked project, text message is displayed below ‘Clear filters’ button, informing users that results of search (issues listed in backlog) may be incomplete.
