Access the Team Planner app
You can access Team Planner - Resource Planning and Capacity Planning via Jira’s top menu, under Apps.
After clicking Team Planner you will be transferred to your Team Planner Dashboard, where you can view all your existing plans.

Create a new plan
Go to your Team Planner Dashboard and click the Create new plan button.

Prepare a plan
Your newly created plan will be empty. Fill it up by adding users, assigning issues, setting the plan’s goal.
Display Story Points or Original Estimate
You can choose your preferred estimates view by selecting it from a drop-down list in the top right corner. Depending on what you select, different type of values will be displayed on your plan and in your progress tracker. You can also choose to not show any estimates.
Work on a plan
You can edit your plan by simply dragging and dropping issues and users however you see fit. Stretch or shrink issues on the timeline to set their planned date ranges. Change assignees, unassign issues, and add or delete users. All your changes will be visible in real-time.

Work on a plan with my team
Team Planner supports simultaneous edition, meaning that multiple users can work on a single plan at the same time, and make simultaneous changes that will all be saved automatically. You can see the users currently viewing the plan at its top right corner.
