Project vs Global templates
To make working with templates more user-friendly, templates are divided into two categories: project and global. The main difference is that global templates can be used in any project, whereas project templates can be added to or automated only in the designated project. Moreover, Jira admins or users with global template permissions can save a global template. A more detailed comparison of project and global templates is presented in the table below.
