Configuration
To start using QAlity – Test Management for Jira, you need to add the QAlity Test issue type to the projects where you want to use the app. To do it:
In the company-managed project go to Apps → Manage your apps → QAlity Plus Settings.
Find the project on the list and enable the last option, which is Enable QAlity Plus issue type.
Please notice that this action requires admin permission.
After that, you are ready to create your test cases.
Adding the issue type manually for team-managed projects
If you're using team-managed projects, you must manually add this issue type. To do that:
Click Project settings.
Go to Issue types.
Click Add issue type.
Click Create issue type.
Name the issue as ‘QAlity Test’.
Click Create.
Test case definitions are available in the Jira issue view by default
When QAlity is installed and the Test case issue type is properly configured in the project, the test case definition will be automatically displayed in the Jira issue. If you’re using a new Jira issue UI, you might need to click the QAlity button first.
In some cases, the QAlity button might be hidden under the Apps button.
